12.1. Capabilities and Limitations of MPS and MRP in PostERP

PostERP now supports only regeneration. Net-change is not supported, yet. The downside of regeneration, as compared with net-change, is the longer time of MPS and MRP calculations.

PostERP assumes unlimited production capacity in the environment.

PostERP copes only one company's data for every MRP run. It can not take into account the data for multiple companies simultaneously.

The results of MPS or MRP run by different PostERP users are kept separately by PostERP. Thus, to convert MRP results to purchase requests and work orders, the user account yielding the MRP results must be specified.
